Mouth(VRRF156) was born in the Rascals in September 2012. Her parents were the dominant couple Sancerre and Grus. Mouth's litter-mates were VRRM154, Hush (VRRM155), VRRF157 and Brangy (VRRM158). They were the last litter born to Grus. A month later Grus died leaving the dominant male position to natal-males. Despite losing their father the pups survived their first four weeks and started foraging with the adults. The Rascals were a good size month however the pups were born during a drought. Both VRRM154 and VRRF157 were lost within the next few months. Mouth, Hush and Brangy survived their first three months. Sancerre lost her next litter leaving Mouth and her two remaining brothers as the youngest members of the group. In Janaury 2013 Hush disappeared followed by Brangy in July. Sancerre disappeared in September around Mouth's birthday. Mouth didn't become the dominant female, but her older sister Edna May established dominance. Three new males of different origins joined the group soon after and Edna May started to evict all the females, Mouth was lucky and avoided evictions. All the subordinate female left the group leaving Mouth as the oldest subordinate female. The group fell low in members to just two adult females, three adult males and three pups from Edna May's first litter. Mouth became pregnant in late 2013. Edna May gave birth to another litter, however Mouth killed the litter to safe-guard her unborn pups. In Janaury 2014 Mouth gave birth to a signal pup VRRM163. Sadly her pups did not survive and was lost in March. That same month Mouth became pregnant again but aborted the litter. In August Enda May gave birth and evicted Mouth who was pregnant. She was allowed to rejoin the group after she aborted the litter. In October Enda May, Mouth and VRRF159 were all pregnant. Mouth is still alive living in the Rascals today.
