- This is the only episode on the show in which Flower does not appear in or is mentioned in (prior to her death in Journey's End).
- In the UK version while Houdini(Aurinko) was searching the Whiskers burrow for females it's said that he had already mated with Flower, Rocket Dog and Maybelline. In reality the actor Aurinko only mated with Flower, it's not known who had mated with Rocket Dog or the females who portrayed pregnant Maybelline.
- This is the first episode in which Houdini is referred to as the "Don Juan of the Desert", during the second version of the opening sequence this became his introductory statement.
- During the scent-marking frenzy between Houdini and Frank (played by two unknown Zappa males) Punk can be seen running in and submitting to both of them, which is unusual behaviour for a dominant female.
- This is the first episode where the Zappa were played by the real Zappa mob.
- Lola was said to have been the Zappa's dominant female for three years when in reality she had only been the dominant female for nearly one and a half years.
