Withnail(VZZM059) was First Seen on August 18, 2007, with another wild male named Indy when they joined the Zappa. At the time, Punk was the dominant female, and Withnail established himself as the dominant male. Punk was pregnant but aborted her litter and quickly got pregnant again along with her sister Lola. She evicted the oldest subordinate females from the group, who all disappeared in November. On December 2, 2007, Punk gave birth to Gimli, Eowyn, and VZZP063, but sadly, VZZP063 was soon predated on December 20, 2007, after the pups first emerged. The Zappa fell down low on members after the loss of the evicted females and roving males. Punk and another female named Katesa became pregnant, but both lost their litters. Soon after, Punk became pregnant again but lost her litter when she was predated in August 2008. Her niece Milla was the new dominant female and Withnail's mate. The Zappa were now down to just ten members. Indy started to go roving and soon Milla became pregnant but aborted the litter. With no pups, Withnail started to go roving with Indy. Then Milla disappeared shortly after aborting her litter and her sister Katesa became the new dominant female. Although she was unrelated to Withnail, he continued to go roving. In November 2008, after being the dominant male for little over a year, Withnail, Indy, and Gimli left the group for good.
Meerkat Manor[]
Because of Withnail and Indy's wildness, the Kalahari Meerkat Project wouldn't allow any farther filming of the real Zappa. No groups with wild meerkats could be filmed so the Zappa were not seen in the fourth season. It was said that they were chased off of their land by the Commandos to explain their absence, and Withnail was never seen on Meerkat Manor.
